International Guest Speaker

Our invited international speaker this year is Dr Amy Dwyer, Professor of Medicine and Director of Interventional Nephrology, University of Louisville, Kentucky USA. 

Professor Dwyer is a dynamic speaker with a wide interest in interventional nephrology. She has a vision to promote improved collaboration with other societies and specialties and broaden research initiatives to improve care for patients with kidney disease. 

Professor Dwyer has numerous research publications including the importance of vascular access coordinators, permcath complications with fibrin sheaths, maturation period for AV fistulas and stenting of fistulas. She has been an ASDIN Council Member for 10 years. She is committed to improving interventional nephrology locally and internationally. 

Professor Dwyer’s contribution to the 11th ANZSIN meeting will be profound in terms of shared knowledge, strengthening our affiliation with ASDIN and gender equality as our first female international speaker.
